On the plus side it is a 500ml bottle and I am always a fan of that. The bottle doesn’t do it for me at all. The blue of the label is garish and somehow does not suit the drink inside. I couldn’t really pick up on any distinctive aroma, just the normal hoppy smell of a pale ale.

 

Oddly though when poured it looks very good like a good (almost) pint. It is golden with a nice head and looks very appealing. At a push I can pick up on some citrus, but I really can’t smell mango or find the exotic fruits that this apparently boasts.

 

That is okay with me as I cannot for one minute imagine I would have liked that. It has a good little fizz that breaks the bitterness of the taste and that makes it easy and pleasant to drink. It’s not complicated, this one, and if I had to choose between this and a run of the mill alcohol free lager, I would have this.

 

Reggie did not care one way or another – he just wanted it out of his chair.
